HELP BIRDS this Summer.... They are dying due to heat

While we have the luxury of eating cucumbers, watermelons, icecreams and liquids to beat the sweltering heat, our feathered friends across the city are reeling under adverse effects of an early summer. Even as the mercury soars to forty degree celsius, water is difficult for them to find. As a result many of them die during this season.

As compared to previous year, the number of birds suffering from dehydration this year has gone up already. This year the heat started in early March, increasing the number of sick animals. Not only birds, but even large animals are getting affected due to this heat. Pet dogs suffer more than strays because the former are accustomed to air conditioned or fan-cooled rooms, and when they are taken out for walks they fail to adjust to the sudden change in the temperature, resulting in vomiting and diarrhoea. So Pet owners watch out.

Summers are here and so it the scarcity of water. We Humans can ask for water but what about Animals and Birds? They cannot. They can only rely on our pity to serve them water.

Seen in these 2 pictures - a Koala asking for water from passing cyclists. This was the first time this behaviour of begging water seen in animals.

Pledge Water for Birds and Animals this Summer!!

Buy clay bowls around 3-4 inches deep should be 35-40Rs. each. Clay bowls are better than plastic or metal bowls because the water stays very cool even when temperature is touching 40-42 degrees Celsius. Also clay pots are unlikely to be stolen if used in public places for stray animals.

Hide behind those Grills and Curtains and shoot some great shots for your Frame of good deeds :)

Not Paul Octopus its Paul Valthaty

“Tring tring” “SMS” interviews dates.... all ringing for the new IPL 4 sensation Paul Valthaty.
People began to google and call local crickets associations in order to know anything and everything about him during his blistering knocks. I remember my office colleagues asking, “Who is this Valthaty” the only guess people made was from his last name, sounds like an Andhra boy. But what they didn’t knew that he is from their Mumbai city itself.
A boy from Kandivli (Mumbai) now wears the orange cap stealing the 1st batting rank from Sachin Tendulkar, something which he must have never even dreamed of. The Kandivli resident has JUST ONE List A game for Mumbai to show for his efforts, in 2006 against Baroda. If the kind of shots he pulled off against Chennai on Wednesday is any indication of his talent, it's hard to believe that he did not earn bigger laurels.
He was selected for selected for the Under-19 World Cup but misfortune struck. On a tour to New Zealand, a delivery hit him straight in the eye. For the next year or two, his vision was a little disturbed. It was after that injury that Valthaty reportedly lost momentum. Then consistency became a matter of concern. He played one one-dayer for Mumbai, but failed to make the cut for West Zone. It was all very unfortunate.
But against all odds witness the rise of a new batting sensation, cheer him for this IPL its a long way to go.
